About the tour:

We are pleased to offer a tour of Stanford University's New Central Energy Facility sponsored by the Santa Clara Valley PES/IAS chapters and the Stanford Energy Management. Spaces are limited and will be filled quickly. Pre-registration is required.

The New Central Energy Facility replaces the Cardinal Co-gen Plant on Stanford University campus. This facility includes a high voltage substation, heating, cooling and waste heat recovery systems. It is designed to significantly reduce Stanford University's natural gas usage, while electrifying the campus heating and cooling systems.

No food or drink will be allowed during the tour. You may want to grab lunch beforehand from the wide variety of dining destinations on campus. Note that it is graduation weekend.

Attendees should meet at the front entrance. The address is 506 Oak Road, Stanford, CA 94305, but the main entrance is on Fremont Road. There is a parking lot across the street. You will need to purchase a permit and place it on your dash as University Parking is metered through 4 PM.
